Plot

The Simpsons is an American animated television series, created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. Since its creation, The Simpsons have become a part of 454 episodes, 20 seasons and a movie that released in 2007. Their series has won several dozen awards. It has been named as the 20th century´s best television series by the TIME magazine. It is indeed the longest running American sitcom and animated program. In 2009, it surpassed "Gunsmoke" to be termed as the longest running american primetime entertainment series.

Character

The Simpsons are a typical family who live in the town of Springfield. Homer the father, works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, as a safety inspector, a position at odds whith his careless. He is married to Marge Simpson, a stereotypical american housewife and mother. They have three children: Bart, a ten-year old troublemaker; Lisa, a precocious eight-year old activist; and Maggie, the baby of the family who rarely speaks, but communicates by suckig on a pacifier. The family owns a dog, Santa´s Little Helper and a cat, Snowball V, renamed Snowball II in "I,(Annoyed Grunt)-Bot". The show includes an array of quirky characters: co-workers, teachers, family friends, extended relatives, townspeople and local celebrities.

I would recommend the american TV series The Simpsons because it´s full of fun, it haves lot of different characters and it is based on everyday life situation. It is very entertaining for all the family with many different episodes that make you want to watch them time and time again.

In conclusion, I love this program. I have been watching it since I was a child and I still like it many years after woods.
